WCA is participating in the Operation Christmas Child Project this year!

We encourage our students to share God’s love and gospel of Jesus to children in need around the world!

One way we do this is by participating in the Operation Christmas Child project, packing shoeboxes with gift items such as quality toys, school supplies and personal care items, sharing the love of Christ around the world!

For many children, it is their first gift ever! Delivered by local church partners around 100 different countries, shoebox gifts provide an opportunity to present the gospel to boys and girls in a clear, child-friendly way.

Here are the ways you and your students can participate in this wonderful mission:

  • FundraiserInternational Market Snack Sales from 10/24 through 10/28. All students can purchase snacks (cookies, chips, ramyun, candies, ice creams, etc) from Korea, Japan, China, Columbia, Netherlands, and Wales during their lunch time, and all the money raised will help to cover shipping the shoebox gifts and provide gospel materials to the children who would receive the gift boxes overseas. $10/shoebox is needed. Please send some cash with your students to school 10/24 – 10/28, so they can purchase the snacks to support and experience different snacks from different countries as well! So fun!
  • Students and their families can make their own unique shoe boxes filled with their choice of gift items and bring the finished boxes to the school 10/31 ~ 11/11. You can make your boxes more personal by putting handwritten cards or family pictures. If you don’t have an empty shoebox at home, we can send you an Operation Christmas Child shoebox to home with your students. (turn boxes in by 11/11)
  • Donate any gift items such as fun toys, school supplies, or hygiene items 10/31 through 11/11. Once the items are collected, students can make shoebox gifts with their teachers at school.
  • Most importantly, pray for children who will receive the shoebox gifts, their families, communities, and churches.

In case you haven’t heard, our very own Cesar Trigos has a testimony to share about how Operation Christmas Child touched him as a child growing up in Columbia! Here is a quick video:
