1. Christmas SPIRIT Week
To get everyone excited for the Christmas season, WCA/LFN will be sending home info next week on what our annual Christmas Spirit Week will look like for the week of December 14th-18th!
2. Christmas Parties & Gift Exchange
We realize that this is a time of year when people like to give and receive gifts from each other. Due to COVID, it makes things a little trickier. Please know that we are working on coming up with protocols on how we can make this work for this year’s classroom Christmas parties and gift exchanges. More info will be forthcoming.
3. Staff “Christmas Bonus” Info
Websterville Baptist Ministries has been blessed with so many wonderful hardworking Staff members. This year we are looking to raise money to give out as a “Christmas Bonus” to each staff member. If you would like to donate towards blessing our staff members with a monetary gift, you can do so through our PayPal account or you can use the newly designed WCA envelopes that are located at both campuses. Please make sure to mark it as “Staff Bonus”.
4. WCA/LFN “New Envelopes”
WCA/LFN has newly designed envelopes for when you need to make a payment (i.e. tuition, hot lunch, extended care, warrior bakery, etc.) or wish to make a donation. They are located behind the “main office door” at the main campus and in the “entryway” at the East Campus as well.
5. WCA Christmas Program
WCA is asking for all students in grades K-12 to come to school on Tuesday, December 15th – dressed in their Christmas attire. We will be recording this year’s Christmas program on that day. Because of COVID, we will be working on streaming this year’s Christmas program for all to see in the comfort of their home. There will be more info forthcoming.
6. In Need of Christmas Gifts this year
D0 you know of children within the WCA/LFN family who are in need of Christmas gifts? If so, please communicate with Dianna Fecher. This will be completely anonymous, but we ask that you do not request assistance if using another program for gift receipt. Dianna can be reached at (802) 479-0141 or via email at: email@example.com or Dianna.firstname.lastname@example.org.
7. Christmas Gift Collection Date
We will be collecting some gifts for some children within the WCA/LFN family this year! If you would like to contribute, you will find some gift requests on the Christmas tree in the upstairs hallway. We are requesting that you bring the new, UNWRAPPED gift, tied in a bag so that it cannot be seen, by Friday, December 18th. You may give the bag to your child’s teacher, to Dianna, or set it next to the tree in the upstairs hallway at the main campus. We will distribute the gifts to the child’s family in time for them to wrap their gifts!
8. Warrior Bakery “Special Christmas Ordering”
Our Warrior Bakery has “special Christmas ordering” now available! Order forms are available in the office at both campuses, on the school website, or you can contact Nel Lunde directly via email at: email@example.com (or on Facebook). There are an assortment of options for purchase. If you place an order, you will need to make arrangements with Nel Lunde in the cafeteria for Bakery pickup on Fridays.
9. WCA/LFN Christmas Break
Christmas Break is fast approaching. Our schedule for school closure is as follows:
- WCA will have a ½ day on December 18th and will be closed December 21st – January 3rd.
- LFN will have a ½ day on December 23rd and will be closed December 24th – January 3rd.
- Please plan accordingly.
10. WCA Merch Store
WCA has had a lot of positive feedback on selling school apparel. We have set up a merch store on the school website. That being said, WCA has had many inquiries about being able to sell youth sizes. We have set up several options in the store, including a WCA shirt, a WCA sweatshirt, and a Little Flock shirt.
11. Yearbooks (2019-2020)
There are still plenty of 2019-2020 Yearbooks for sale. The cost has dropped to $15 per yearbook, and they are available at both campuses.
12. Dropping off & Picking up REMINDER
To all WCA & LFN parents, grandparents, visitors, etc.: With the increase in COVID cases, we are trying to decrease the number of people coming into the building and going to classrooms. So we are asking that ALL drop offs need to be done at the door. In addition, we ask that when picking up a student throughout the day, that you check into the office and a WCA staff member will check your temperature and retrieve your student for you.
13. Signing Out your Student
We are asking that anyone who comes to pick up their student early from school, to please sign them out in the office. This will help our staff know which students are/are not present in case of an emergency.
14. Hot Lunch Reminder
When filling out Hot Lunches online, please fill out ONE FORM PER STUDENT! This form needs to be filled out prior to Monday morning. The report is printed on Monday mornings and given to our Lunch lady. IF you forget to sign your student up for Hot Lunch prior to Monday morning, you will need to contact Cesar Trigos at #479-0141 to let him know.
