WCA – weekly updates newsletter – week of Friday, December 1st

Here’s this week’s news and updates!

1. Get your 6-12 grader signed up for YEC winter retreat!

This year we are headed to YEC (Youth Encountering Christ) for our winter retreat. It will be an amazing chance for the young people to get a away for a bit, meet other Christians their own age, and draw closer to God! It’s January 26-28, and don’t let the cost get you! We are hitting the ground running with fundraising, and we’re gathering sponsors to help you if you can’t swing it!

2. Christmas Pretzel Rod fundraiser (lunchtimes, and pre-orders)

Starting Monday, we will be selling Christmas pretzel rods during the lunch periods. They will be $2/rod, or 3 for $5. We will also be making available bouquets for ordering. More details coming soon.

3. Best dressed for chapel this week

4. Christmas Packet

It’s December, and we are ramping up for an exciting Christmas season! Next week, a Christmas Packet will be going home with each student that contains all the information. Included in this packet is a Remember December Calendar that you can post on your fridge to help keep our many activities straight. Please be on the lookout next week for this important packet!

5. Decorating Classrooms

We would like to begin decorating our school and classrooms on Monday, December 11th. If you would like to donate some Christmas decorations, or simply let us borrow them for the season, please send them in with your child by this date!

6. Fireside Youth Christmas Plans

Fireside Youth is the youth group of Websterville Baptist Church. We meet Sunday evenings at the Lenahans’ home for a time of games, food, worship and Bible study. This Christmas we want your 6th-12th graders to come celebrate with us! This coming Sunday, December 3rd we will be decorating for Christmas. Then, next Sunday, December 10th we are having our Christmas party. Join us if you can!

7. Bottle Donations for WCA!

The Beverage Baron in Barre is still taking bottle donations on behalf of WCA. We would like to thank those of you who contribute in this way and encourage anyone else to use this as a method to donate.
