WCA – weekly updates newsletter – week of Friday, November 3rd

Here’s this week’s news and updates!

1. Our Midland Fundraiser is wrapping up!

 Orders were due on November 3rd, but we have made a grace period for those who still need to finish up an order or two or collect money for orders. Monday, November 6th is our final due date for all orders and money! Orders that were not placed online should arrive within two to three weeks, in plenty of time for Christmas. 

2. Report cards will be coming out on Friday, November 10th.

Report cards will be coming out on Friday, November 10th. Report cards are also available online through your parent gradelink account, once published.

3. No Open House Friday, November 10th

There will be no Open House Friday, November 10th as stated on our calendar.

4. Final soccer game – Friday Night Lights – November 10th

Our final hurrah for the soccer season will be a Friday Night Lights Game November 10th.There will be a costume pep rally with music starting at 6:00, and the game at 7:00. We will have a hot chili crock pot cook off to keep everyone nice and toasty! So bring your best chili in a crock pot so it stays warm, and you might win an awesome prize! 5. Students of the month for October

Students of the Month awards have been distributed, and we are proud to present the following students for showing respect to authority, showing growth in the area of academics, and exhibiting Godly character on a daily basis for the month of October: Rhydian Fortier, Caylee Ford, Trent Austin, Molly Hunt, Jonah Ainsworth, Kennedy Hunt, and Rosie Durkee. Congratulations!

6. Vermont State University is visiting us Wednesday, November 8th

Vermont State University (formerly VTC) will be visiting and sharing information about their school on Wednesday, November 8th. It is important to start thinking about life after graduation and making attainable goals in order to reach our dreams. This is one way to get them thinking and planning!

7. Best Dressed for Chapel this past week

This week our Best Dressed for Chapel award goes to Dakota Guitreau, James McShane, Marilyn O’meara. Thank you for making the effort to look your best!

8. Lion’s Club vision screening, November 14

The Lions Club will be offering vision screening again this year. Please see the attached letter to find out more!

9. Thanksgiving Coloring Contest

11. Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is starting up again this year and we will  be helping support Websterville Baptist Church in their efforts to provide Christmas gifts to children in other countries who might otherwise go without. Homeroom teachers will be sharing information on Monday with the students and we will even be offering a prize to the class that donates the most! This is a great opportunity to show care for others. 12. Pizza Reminder!

Pizza Reminder: Please make sure to send your child/children with the money for pizza by Wednesday each week to ensure we have enough. Students with payments after Wednesdays, will not be able to have pizza!
